Funeral services for Mabel Smith Washington, 71, of Altheimer, who died March 15, 1997, at her home are scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at P.K. Miller Mortuary with the Rev. Gene Griffins officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens.
Born April 9, 1925, in Altheimer, she was a daughter of the late Joe T. Smith and Edna Harris Smith.
She received her early education in Altheimer public schools. She was a homemaker and member of the worldwide Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Sylvester Washington of Altheimer; five sons; five daughters; a brother, Pheotas Smith of Altheimer; and 22 grandchildren.
The family will be at 203 North Arkansas Street in Altheimer.
