Wife of: Jacob Knoop (1734-1785) who was buried somewhere in Allen Township, Cumberland Co. Pennsylvania, possibly on the "Knopf Plantation", now a part of the City of New Cumberland.
Children: Michael, Jacob, Anely Knoop Lenon, Elizabeth Knoop Garber, John E., Benjamin, Christian, Mary, and Daniel.
Daughter of: Michael and Anna Gerber.

Anna immigrated on the ship Hope Galley arriving in Philadelphia on September 23, 1734, age 6 months, with father, Michael Gerber, age 27 and mother, Anna Gerber, age 22 as listed by the captain of the ship.

Earlier researchers believed her name to be Christine Anely Metz. No one knows where the names Christine or Metz came from. Anna said she was born in Metz, Switzerland, but no Swiss town by that name can be found. The Gerbers stopped in Germany to leave their son, John, with relatives. Possibly Anna was born in Mentz, Germany.

She was said to have come to Dutch Station, Ohio in 1798 from Pennsylvania with sons, John, Benjamin, Daniel and Christian and their families, and daughter, Anely Lenon and her children. However, it is believed that John brought his mother from Pennsylvania to Ohio circa 1799. She rode the 500 miles on horseback.

Anna was the first person buried in Old Knoop cemetery in an area she had picked out for a cemetery.
