*******
Daughter of Owen and Evajean

Toadean was her AOL Addy

ALAC RESCUER
Odean is at the Rainbow bridge with hundreds
if not thousands she has helped with in two and half
decades of finding homes. She posted on all breeds across
America, to give these little guys a second chance. From Shih Tzu,
Lhasa Apso, Maltese and one of her favorite was her Affenpincher, aka Monkey dog.

Odean also was an author and wrote two books
one in 1984 and 1988
Pets and Mental Health and Pets for the Elderly

On a Personal Note : I knew Odean since 1994 from
The AOL Lhasa Apso Board ..

She was Die-heart Green Bay Packer Fan, I even sent her a
Cheese hat I got a customer to pick up for me, They where going
home for a Big Game and I sent it her from NY. Her mom got a big
Kick out of it as My Mom and Dad did also.

Did You know she even Rescue a Potbelly Pig
along with her Dogs. This was in the late nineties
The stories where so funny of the animals going out into the back yard
on the phone.

Her mom made lots of little blankets with left over wool for their rescues..One Christmas I get a package and in it was a Blanket for Tai (my Lhasa Apso) in memory of her Mom.

After Tai passed, she sent me a link to every Rescue person she thought was good in NYS CT and RI and this time around your getting a Rescue :)
See Odean was a Yr Older than me

Well it took time and finally got a rescue from ALAC (American Lhasa Apso Club) through Helen,
Chair person in Pa.

Odean, and I nicked named him the Little Hooligan
We where just talking about Snickers just a few days ago,
going to be 4 yrs next week if he makes it, I said.

Odean you surely earned your Angel Wings here on Earth,
Never thought I would be making this for you,
with a Heavy Heart

Here is your poem;

Gone From My Sight
by Henry Van Dyke

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone"
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

This was read to her when they removed her ventilator yesterday afternoon. She went in on weekend with a collapsed lung
She had Cancer, which none of us knew.

God Speed My Friend

Thank You Elle for this Photo of her.
This photo was taken with her new camera,
she was testing it out And I asked permission to
send to the AOL Lhasa Board friends of hers

Thank You Corey For The Sponsoring.
