Able Seaman Graham Bursey who died aged 21 on Mar. 27, 1943 aboard HMS Dasher, when it blew up and sank on the River Clyde, off Ardrossan, Scotland. Graham was the son of William Bursey and Bertha Bursey(nee Martin) of Old Perlican, Newfoundland - Canada

Old Perlican, Newfoundland & Labrador - Canada (birthplace of Graham Bursey and one of the oldest fishing communities in Newfoundland & Labrador, was home to several generations of the Bursey family).

The "Dasher" memorial was dedicated in 1993 and is situated at Ardrossan [South Beach], a small town in Ayrshire, Scotland. The actual location of the wreck is just South of Little Cumbrae Island in the Firth of Clyde.

HMS DASHER blew and sank on Mar. 27, 1943. Of the crew of 555 British sailors, 379 were lost in the sinking, including Graham Bursey.
