Lillian Campo, 88 (nee Matuzek) of Lorain died on Monday, May 4, 2009 at Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a long illness.
Mrs. Campo was born in Sandusky on May 1, 1921, the daughter of the late Andrew Matuzek and the late Madonna (nee Dresser) Matuzek Burris.

She lived the majority of her life in Lorain and worked as a housekeeper. She was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching the "Golden Girls" on TV.

Mrs. Campo is survived by a daughter Linda S Campo Beecheler of Lorain, son Kenneth R Campo of Antioch, TN, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, three brothers William Matuzek of Campbell, CA, Gene Matuzek of Phoenix, AZ, and Richard Matuzek of Mary Esther, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony F. Campo in 1987, daughter Nancy J Campo and a son Ronald Campo, brothers Benny Matuzek, Leonard Matuzek, Albert Matuzek, sisters Lucille and Shirley.

Friends may call Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 3 - 7 p.m. at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday, May 8, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a A Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 1709 E. 31st Street, Lorain with Rev. Paul Krajnik, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
