Hinton P. Wright was the son of Judge William Felix Wright and Elizabeth Caroline Dent. He married Marie Louise Robinson (over the objections of her parents) in 1870 and had two children with her: Zaida and Albert.
Hinton was apparently a brilliant lawyer, but became a drunkard and thief. Late in life, he found religion and became an evangelist and preacher on the evils of drink.
Marie Robinson divorced him and became a famous world traveller, author, and expert on Central America. Hinton married May Minerva Bowen in 1888 and had several children with her, including a daughter, Lucille Wright, born about 1888.
