SMITH--Rites for David Crockett Smith, a pioneer resident of Birmingham, passed away Saturday evening, June 17, near Odenville, where he had made his residence for the last five years. Mr. Smith was a building contractor, having constructed some of the most prominent apartments and residences of this city. He was a Mason and a member of the Grotto. He was an active member of Farrar Lodge for many years. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery Sunday afternoon. Surviving him, one son, Clyde D. Smith, and four daughters, Mrs. J. E. Compton, Mrs. J. W. McMahon, Mrs. T. M. Baker and Mrs. George Miller.
