Alvin L. Aronson, 88, formerly of Illinois, most recently of Lake Balboa, California, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 in San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Harriette Kuhn Aronson; and by four siblings, Esther (Kuney), Joseph, Sherwin, and Marcia (Schwartz). Survivors include his six children, Shirley of Lacey, WA, Virginia (Bryan) Horstman of San Diego, CA, Robert (MaryAnn) of Santa Barbara, CA, Gloria Kazimer of Des Plaines, IL, William (Debra) of Doniphan, MO, and Marsha (Michael) Gonzalez of Lacey, WA; and his brother, Sheldon (Tara) of Wauconda, IL; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and many step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Mt Sinai Hollywood Hills, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, January 23, 2011, 12:00 noon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sharp Hospice Care in San Diego, CA.
