Urban N. Binversie, age 89,formerly of Meeme, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Willowpark Place, with his wife by his side.

Urban was born on August 13, 1925, son of the late Matthew and Margaret (Endries) Binversie at the family farm in the town of Meeme. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954. On October 30, 1972 he married the former Mary Schmitz at Holy Name Catholic Church, Sheboygan. Together they continued farming on the family farm, Urban also owned and operated his own excavating business.

He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and member of the Knights of Columbus Branch 5539. In Urban's free time he enjoyed deer hunting, and playing sheepshead; playing at least once a day.

Survivors include his wife: Mary; two brothers: Salvadore and Ralph Binversie; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Hedwig & Richard Vogel and Esther & John Goehring. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Urban was preceded in death by two brothers: Linus and Augustine Binversie; one sister and brother-in-law: Scholastica “Sally” & Milton Bruns and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Joseph & Dorothy Schmitz.

Funeral Services for Urban will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Patrick Nelson, with burial to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Church from 9:00AM until 10:45AM on Monday.
