MARY KNIPFER

Mrs. Michael Knipfer, 82, former Two Rivers Pilon Court, resident of 1111 Larned St., Lansing, Michigan, died at her home in that city Thursday. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers and at 10 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. Earl Brouchoud officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Knipfer, nee Mary Raatz, was born at Two Rivers, July 3, 1884, a daughter of the late Herman and Mary Kleckner Raatz. She was married October 18, 1910 at St. Luke Catholic Church to Michael Knipfer, a veteran retired member of the U.S. Coast Guard. The couple had been making their home at Lansing for several years.
Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Merl Zerba of Lansing, Mrs. Arnold Boettger of Two Rivers, and Mrs. Herman Hodde of Brenham, Texas; two sons, Ivan of Two Rivers and Hilary of Lansing; a brother, Edward Raatz of Iron Mountain, Mich.; and 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45.
