ADEL - A funeral for C.W. (Bill) Lenze, 78, of rural Adel was held Feb. 24, 1993 at Fisher Funeral Home at Adel, with burial following at the Panther Creek Cemetery near here. Mr. Lenze died of heart ailment on February 21, 1993 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center at Des Moines.

The son of Charles and Hazel Lenze, he was born at Truax on January 31, 1915. He married Coral Coffin at Adel in September 1933. He lived most of his life in the Adel area and was retired from farming and Pittsburg-Des Moines Steel.

Mr. Lenze was preceded in death by his parents; by a sister, Fanny Cassady; by a son, Curtis; by two grandchildren and by one great-grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Coral; two sons, Melvin and Billy, both of Adel; two daughters, Charlotte Bond of Adel and Connie Crowl of Redfield; 13 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
