Mr. Schroeder was born June 9, 1911 at Wahpeton, N.D., a son of the late Adolph and Ida Schroeder. He attended the public school there and the family came to Sheboygan in 1929. During World War II he served overseas in Germany with the U.S. Army. Mr. Schroeder worked for six years at General Box Co. until illness forced his retirement in 1963.
On May 17, 1958, he married Mrs. Marion Schier, also of Sheboygan. He was a former member of Wolf-Olson Post 1230, VFW.
Survivors include his wife, a stepson, Richard Schier, of North Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two step-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Gillis Roelse Sr., of Sheboygan.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
