Born on August 14, 1916, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Joseph and Julia (Blaskieweiz) Jarecki. She married Walter T. Abel. He was born April 7, 1921 and died January 1985 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Surviving are one son, Tom Abel and companion, Emile, of Richmond, MI; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Margaret, in infancy in 1948.
She was a veteran of the United States Army. She had been a sales clerk at Kresge's Department Store in Bedford, IN. She had also worked at the Three Pigs Restaurant in Bedford. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Graveside services will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens in Bedford, IN.
