Agnes Maggie Rose Cerkas, 92, 1500 N 3rd St, Manitowoc, entered Heaven to be with our Lord on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on March 19, 1919, in Minneapolis, Minn., daughter of the late Charles and Maryann (Conjurski) Smith. On June 21, 1941, Agnes married Leonard Cerkas at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1989. Agnes was employed at S.S.
Kresge in Manitowoc as a baker and then at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in laundry services for 10 years, retiring in 1984. She was a life long member of St Francis of Assisi Parish. Agnes enjoyed crocheting, baking, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary and Valentina Cerkas, Peoria, Ariz.; David Cerkas, Manitowoc; Michael and Kathy Cerkas, Abrams; two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy and Edward
Albrecht, Newton; Yvonne Cerkas, Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren, Roger and Rhonda Cerkas, Aaron and Clint Cerkas, Stacy and Jason Albrecht, Ross and Ryan Kersten, Brent and Chad MacDonald, Brandon and Christopher Cerkas; 12 great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, Jeannine
Smith, Wisconsin; Elsie Emond, Two Rivers; Bernice Stanul, Menomonee Falls; and Irene Lasky, Ohio. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son and two grandchildren, Adam Cerkas and Ashley MacDonald; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lucille Smith, Elsie and John Schwerma, Rose and Ben Wagner; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Louis and Mary Smith, Richard Smith, Donald and Betty Smith and Charles Smith, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at St Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at St Francis of Assisi on Marshall from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
