JOSEPH DENK

Joseph M. Denk, 78, retired county farmer, died at 11 p.m. Thursday
at his home, 1010 S. 21st street, after a lingering illness.
Mr. Denk was born Sept. 27, 1866, in Germany, and came to this country when he was 16. He operated a farm at Branch until 12 years ago when he retired and moved to this city.
On Nov. 20, 1897, Mr. Denk was united in marriage with Mary Handl, who survives with five children. The daughters are Mrs. Joseph Kotowski of the city, Anna and Elsie at home and two sons, Richard and Paul both of Manitowoc. A sister, Mrs. Mary Reitmeyer, of Manitowoc, and three grand-children also survive.
The funeral will be Monday morning, 8:30 at the Pfeffer funeral home and 9 o'clock at St. Boniface Catholic church, the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Pfeffer's where the body can be viewed after 7 o'clock Saturday.
