Betty Loughrin, age 85, of Princeton, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 20, 2015. She was born on June 18, 1929, in Manitowoc, WI, a daughter of John and Helen (Stiefrater) Griesbach. She married Don Loughrin on June 28, 1963 in Manitowoc. Betty was a secretary for the Princeton High School before her retirement. She enjoyed Friday fish fries, watching the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers, fishing, she was a true Wisconsinite. Over the years, she looked forward to the girl’s night out, playing bingo, sheepshead and gambling. She loved spending her weekends with her son, Mike and her two grandchildren, Brennon and Berlin. Betty had a lifelong devotion to her church, family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Margaret) Loughrin of New Berlin, WI; grandchildren, Brennon and Berlin; sister, Alice (Willard) Matthias of Cleveland, WI; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Below of Oregon, WI, Susan Loughrin of Fremont, WI; other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, on January 14, 2006; brother, John Griesbach, Jr; sisters, Margaret, Dolores, Monica, Mary and Helen.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Betty Loughrin will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will be conducting the service. Burial will follow the service at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
