He was one of the ten original members of the Kensington Church which was founded in 1712.

He was elected a constable in the town in 1715.

Samuel , after the death of his father, inherited part of his land and it was he that sold that portion of it to the Rev. William Burnham to be used as a burial site for the town. This became the basis for the Christian Lane Cemetery.

Samuel married Hannah North , daughter of Thomas North
and Hannah Newell and had the following children:



Hannah Seymour born 1706 who married Allen Goodrich.

Mary Seymour born 1708-1791 who married Deacon Anthony Judd as his second wife.

Samuel Seymour who married Susannah Judd, daughter of Deacon Anthony Judd by his first wife.

Rebecca born 1711-1792 who married Elisha Goodrich.

Sarah Seymour 1713-1781 who married James North.

Mercy Seymour 1715-1792 married Uriah Judd as his second wife. She died in Lenox, Ma.

Ruth Seymour 1724-1799 who married Captain Phineas Judd, son of Deacon Anthony Judd.
