The funeral of Mr. Charles Allen who died Saturday in People/s hospital was held Monday afternoon at the chapel at Mills-Petrie Memorial in Parish. Mr Allen was born in Parish. the son of the later Hartley and Azalia Brownell Allen. He conducted a coal business and general store in Parish for many years. He later had a store at West Amboy before moving to Syracuse 12 years ago. Mr Allen was a member of the John G Butler camp 86, Unit of the Spanish War Veterans and the Republic Lodge of Masons in Parish. Surviving are his wife, Louise Hadelle Allen, a son Harold, a sister Miss Louella Allen and a half sister Mrs Frances Steinback. Burial was made in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery.
