Lifelong Resident of Rapids Will Be Buried On Monday
Mrs. Alice Gauthier, 53, life-long resident of Manitowoc Rapids, died
in the city at 1:35 p.m. Thursday after an illness of one month and a half.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 8:30 from the Pfeffer funeral
home and at 9 o’clock at St. Paul’s church. The Rev. Martin Jaeckel will
officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The body may be viewed
at the funeral home after Saturday noon.
Mrs. Gauthier, whose maiden name was Coutley, was born in the Town
of Manitowoc Rapids Oct. 15, 1882. She was married to Louis Gauthier
July 20, 1910.
Survivors are the widower, six daughters, Sylvia, Dorothy, Louise, Viola,
Alice and Elaine; three sons, Earl, Richard and Edward, all at home, and
three sisters, Mrs. Anna Fricke, Manitowoc, Mrs. Louis Weisner and
Mrs. Anton Halverson, both of Manitowoc Rapids.
