ERDINAND (FRED) GROSS

Ferdinand (Fred) Gross, 69, of 917 Jay St., Manitowoc, died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient since Feb. 17.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Gross was born May 15, 1893, at Munjor, Kans., son of the late John and Catherine Leiker Gross. He married Mary Leiker at Munjor July 17, 1916, and the couple resided there until coming to Two Rivers in 1929. In 1942, they came to Manitowoc where for the past 17 years he had been a fireman employed by Aluminum Specialty. He was a member of Holy Name Society of the church.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, John J. of Manitowoc and Herman J. (Harry) of Two Rivers; six brothers, Frank of Gorham, Kans, Henry of Hoisington, Kans., Joseph of Munjor and August, Jacob and Alex of Hays, Kans.; a sister, Mrs. Albert Dinges of Schoenchen, Kans., and six grandchildren. Two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recitedat 7:30 o’clock this Monday evening by the Holy Name Society and the parish.
