Rebecca Matthews Robertson was reportedly a pipe smoker. Several people in various branches of her family recall having seen a photograph of her seated on a porch, smoking her pipe. Another family legend has it that she was part Indian. Rebecca where about in 1880 are not known until I found her death record in Edinburg, Christian County, Illinois when she died in November 18, 1881, living with a son. Buried in Little Hickory Cemetery.
