Mrs. Lera Holmes, age 86, a resident of St. Mary’s Home, died Thursday morning, May 25, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 1995, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Rev. John Neuser will officiate with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born September 30, 1908, in Ottumwa, Iowa, daughter of the late David and Delia Morris Farguhar. On December 10, 1945, she married Wilbur Holmes at San Francisco. They lived in Mishicot until his death in 1969. She then moved to Two Rivers. She was employed at Paragon Electric in Two Rivers until her retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Wilbur R. Holmes, Florida, James (Risa) Holmes, Iowa; three daughters, Sandra (John) Strohm, Norcross, Ga., J’ette (Alan) Siebold, Huntington, Ind., San Lee Kellicut, New Zealand, 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. O.E. (Katie) Foglesong, Ottumwa, Iowa. She was preceded in death by one son, John, one grandchild, four brothers, and one sister.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, on Monday, May 29, 1995, from 3-7 p.m. and Tuesday until leaving for the church at 9:30 a.m.
