PITTSVILLE—Mrs. Carl Simonson, 70, a resident of Pittsville for more than 50 years, died at the Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Milwaukee at 7:45 a.m. Sunday. She had been a patient there the past week.
Funeral services will be held in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church here at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. E. T. Keller officiating. Interment is to be in Mound Cemetery.
The former Leah Lewis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis, was born at Alma Center on Nov. 1, 1890, and married Carl Simonson in 1906 at Black River Falls. They came to Pittsville after their marriage.
Mr. Simonson preceded his wife in death Aug. 18, 1959.
Surviving are three sons, Glenn, Fremont, Calif.; Claire and Hugh, Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Ida Gohde, Milwaukee; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Simonson was a member of the Ladies' Aid of St. John's Church.
Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the noon hour on Wednesday and at the church from 12:30 until time of services.
