PITTSVILLE — Carl Simonson, 82, Pittsville, died at his home here at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Death was due to a heart ailment after an illness of six months.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. E. T. Keller officiating. Burial will be in Mound cemetery.
Mr. Simonson was born Feb. 27, 1877, in Black River Falls and married Leah L. Lewis at Eau Claire March 12, 1906. The couple resided in Black River Falls for two years after their marriage and then lived two years in Alma Center before coming to Pittsville in 1910. He had been employed as a stone mason and cemetery caretaker.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Glenn, Petaluma, Calif.; Claire and Hugh, both of Milwaukee; a brother, Julius, Austin, Minn.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Hansen Funeral Home in Marshfield from noon Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday.
