ALICE M. KORNELY

Alice M. Kornely, 73, formerly of Maribel, Wis., died early Monday morning, March 16, 1992.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Stocker with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born February 2, 1919, in the township of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Adolph and Elizabeth Karbon Cherney. She grew up in the township of Kossuth and attended local schools. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. She owned and operated Kronely's Ballroom at Maribel, Wis., and later owned and operated Maribel Caves Inn. She was married to John Root and he preceded her in death. She later married Ralph Kornely and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Kornely was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, former member of Christian Womens Altar Society, and Manitowoc Maritime Museum.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susan Kornely of Maribel; a daughter and son-in-law, Joylynn and Joseph Rich of Maribel; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Evangeline Konop of Manitowoc, Betty and Lester Ruzek of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Heather, Amber, Nathan, Autumn Rich; Erin and Allison Kornely. She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Grenier.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Parish Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. said by Rev. Thomas Stocker.
