HENRY E. MEYER (d. 1959)

The Rescue Squad was summoned at 8:15 a.m. to render aid to Henry Meyer, 84, of 1215 Marshal St., who suffered a coronary attack. Meyer was reported dead on arrival of the squad.

Henry E. Meyer (photo), former undersheriff and City Hall employe, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday following a coronary attack at his home, 1215 Marshall St., Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Born March 8, 1875, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer, he married Elizabeth Neuser Nov. 5, 1900, and the couple came to Manitowoc to reside. Before his retirement in 1957, Mr. Meyer had been employed as a carpenter and a City Hall employe.

A member of the Holy Name Society of the church, Mr. Meyer had been a deputy sheriff for man (sic) years and served as undersheriff under Sheriff Richard Beduhn.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Kahl of Manitowoc; three sons, Bruno C. of Deerfield, Ill., and Ervin L. and Raymond J. of Manitowoc; two brothers, John of Manitowoc and Walter of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Terens of Rt. 1, Mishicot, Mrs.
Peter Massman of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, and Mrs. William Ziebel of Manitowoc; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
