: Evelyn T. Lawrence, loving mother and grandmother, age 95, passed peacefully Monday afternoon, May 19, 2014 with her family by her side.
Evelyn was born February 16, 1919 in Rosholt, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Leopold and Eva (Rozumlalski) Zywicki. On October 10, 1943, she married Jerome J. Lawrence at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1992. Evelyn was employed at Weilers Bakery in Manitowoc for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Evelyn also enjoyed puzzles, reading, gardening, family vacations, cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Rosary & Altar Society at St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include her children: Reginald J. (Diane) Lawrence, Sun City Center, FL, Diane T. (Dan West) Toltzmann West, Linda L. Lawrence, Thomas J. (Lynn) Lawrence, Suzanne M. (Joe LaForce) Lawrence, all of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Scott (Jill) Lawrence, Chicago, Michael (Jenny) Lawrence, New Berlin, Jeffrey (Angie) Lawrence, Franklin, Brian (Kelly) Toltzmann, Manitowoc, Kevin (Jeryl) Toltzmann, Waikola, HI, Steven Toltzmann, Manitoowoc, Lisa Soch, Manitowoc; 13 great grandchildren Blake, Brennen and Hayden Toltzmann, all of Manitowoc, Azure and Jagger Toltzmann, both of Hawaii, Zoe, Rex and Leo Lawrence, all of Chicago, Harper & Henry Lawrence, both of New Berlin, Grayson, Lyla and Jaxson Lawrence, all of Franklin; and a brother and sister-in-law: Leonard & Dianne Zewicki, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Christopher Soch: three infant brothers; and four sisters: Alvina Gospodarek, Agnes Vondruska, Dorothy Zywicki and Bernadette Damman.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc, from 8;30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 until 10:15 a.m.
