Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home
and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John
Hephner will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Scheurell was born Jan. 27, 1901, at Manitowoc, son of the late John
and Ann Baumeister Scheurell. He married Emma Wilhelmy Sept. 14, 1926,
at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She preceded him in death May 23, 1973.
Mr. Scheurell was the founder and proprietor of the Scheurell Clothing Co.,
Manitowoc, a charter member and past treasurer of Manitowoc Serra Club;
past grand knight and past district deputy of the Knights of Columbus, Council
710, and past faithful navigator of the 4th Degree, KCs. He also was a 50-year
member of the Issac Walton League and Eagles Aerie 706 and served on the
board of directors of Silver Lake College.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ramon (Gloria) Mayer, of Menominee Falls,
Wis.; two sons, Marvin, of Two Rivers and Gordon, of Manitowoc; two sisters,
Mrs. Ann Simono, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Dorothy Horstketter, of Manitowoc,
nine grandchildren and two great grandsons.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home where a memorial
service will be held at 7 p.m.
