Tilly was a very precious rescue. He came from a neighboring home where the cat breeding was way out of hand. I acquired several kittens from these people, and several were very sick. Still, Tilly grew and thrived. She was a true mama's girl who loved to cuddle and purr, and she was one of the most intelligent cats I have ever had the pleasure of loving. She could count fingers by pointing to whichever number finger you asked her about. She could differentiate between the big, little, middle finger, etc. She was truly amazing. She loved the other cats in the house and was also quite fond of our black Deerhead Chihuahua, Manny, who became a sort of surrogate parent and cuddle buddy for Tilly. When she was a few months old, Tilly developed an infection and became very ill. Thanks to treatment, her symptoms went away for a while, and she seemed fine again. At the age of 8 months, the symptoms returned, and we were left with no choice but to euthanize our baby. It was a tough choice but her suffering was tool much. You are so love and missed, baby. Mama will never forget you. RIP.
