Bertha "Teddy" Spears, 74, of Texico died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at her home.
She was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
She came to the United States in May 1956. She married Bob Spears in January 1964. She cooked for the "Spears Deeres Harvest Crew" for 38 years. Family members said she enjoyed golfing and bowling, but coffee drinking was her favorite hobby.
She is survived by her husband; a brother-in-law, Bud Spears of Texico; a sister-in-law, Betty Broadhurst (and husband, J.R.) of Bastrop, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Sam Kelley will officiate.
Burial is at Texico Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are all friends.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
