Adrienne Clos, 82, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at the Nottingham RHCF. Born and raised in Syracuse, Adrienne graduated from the Convent School and SUNY Oswego. After graduation, she lived in NYC for several years, working as a social worker. She returned to Syracuse to teach, retiring from Chestnut Hill Elementary School in Liverpool after a 30 year career. Adrienne enjoyed traveling with friends, especially her annual trips to Cape Cod, as well as several trips to Europe and Japan. She was an avid Syracuse football and basketball fan. She also loved theater, opera, any and all animals and family gatherings. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Daniel's Church. She was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Lucy Clos; and a sister, Mary Barbara Cady. She is survived by her nieces: Adrianne (James) Ariglio of Painted Post, NY, Christine (David) Dimelow of Staly-bridge, Cheshire, England; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and her beloved Chihuahua, Lucy. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 12:10 p.m. in St. Daniel's Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Nottingham RHCF for the wonderful care and support they gave to Adrienne. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Daniel's Church.
