Served on advisory board for Third Age Living; charter member of the board of directors of the Old State Capitol Foundation. Member of King's Daughters. Retired from the State of Illinois, Department of Mental Health, as chief of the Review, Hearings and Appeals Branch, Division of Legal Services.

Survived by two daughters; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
