Dolly relinquished custody in 1946 when Darlene was six weeks old. She was adopted by friends of the mother. Sharon and Duane were sent to live with their father in Odanah, WI. The siblings reconnected after the death of their grandfather, Antoine Cloud, as the BIA tried to locate his heirs to pass on property.
