Baptized Sept. 27, 1592. Jasper was a churchwarden of St. Mary the Virgin Church in Wimbotsham, Norfolk, in 1612. His signature appears several times in the church record books which have been preserved and are available by request to visitors.

His death was sometime after 1624 when he "Alienated all his lands to Roger Pratt, senior." (He lost the family fortune). He was not available at the time of his father's will (1614) to be the executor (his sister Beatrix was), so he may have left Wimbotsham during this time. It seems he and his wife moved to Riston by 1620.

His son, Jasper, was the emigrant to Hampton, New Hampshire.
IMPORTANT NOTE: On September 4, 2019, the beautiful and historic St. Mary's church caught fire and most of the church was destroyed. This was the church where Jasper served as a church warden in 1612. If you Google "St. Mary's church fire in Wimbotsham" you will find several articles about the tragedy. Name: Jasper BLAKE
