Carl F. Mass, 85, of Carson, died Sunday at a Council Bluffs care enter following an extended illness.
He was born at Silver City, and farmed in that area until his retirement. Mass had resided four years in Council Bluffs. His wife, Mary, died in 1967.
Survivors include his son, Robert F. Mass of rural Griswold; five daughters, Mrs. Ethel M. Neilsen, Mrs. Mary Ann Oberman and Mrs. Norma J. Marr, all of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Gladys M. Eckert of Carson and Kathryn M. Kemp of Griswold; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Meyer Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Harvey, pastor of the Carson United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be at the Carson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Meyer Chapel in Council Bluffs.
