Honora M. "Honor" Dvorak, age 97, a resident of the Reedsville Manor, died peacefully Wednesday evening, April 29, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, with her family at her side.

Honor was born in Grimms on May 19, 1917, a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Kirby) Hayden. She attended St. Patrick's School in Maple Grove for 10 years and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Green Bay. On July 25, 1939, she married Arthur F. Dvorak at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Maple Grove. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1968.I

n addition to being a homemaker, Honor worked as clerk of the Cato Post Office for 10 years, and retired as postmaster in February, 1985. She was a member of St. Michael's Christian Mothers for many yeas, and also a member of NAPUS, National Association of Postmasters of the United States. Throughout the years, she enjoyed traveling with her family; she loved doing crossword puzzles; Tuesdays with Grams and keeping up with her family on facebook. Honor also looked forward to the monthly "cousins lunch" held at various restaurants each month. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Survivors include her five children and their spouses: Sue (Allan) Wallander, of California, John (Joan) Dvorak of Manitowoc, Nancy (Paul) Rameker of Maribel, Janet (Dick) Brandes of Collins, David (Jane) Dvorak of Green Bay; daughter-in-law, Candy Dvorak of Kellnersville; fifteen grandchildren, Shelly (Jeff) Petersohn, Barbara (Scott) Kakuk, Dean (Tonya) Dvorak, Lee (Wendy) Dvorak, Brian Rameker, Mark (Darcy) Rameker, Angela (Steve) Schenian, Amy (Bill) Kupsh, Karen (Paul) Berland, Dan (Sara) Dvorak, Thomas Korinek, Jr., Eric (Erin) Korinek, Sheena (Keith) Kocourek, Alex Dvorak, Sam Dvorak; and twenty seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Bette Kelley of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Art, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Dvorak, in 1973 and James Dvorak, in 1992; a grandson, Aaron Wallander, in 1992; two sisters, Mary (Jerry) Egbert and Kathleen (Don) Young; two brothers, Bill (Marie) Hayden and John (Hilda) Hayden; two brothers-in-law, John Kelley and Ervin (Margaret) Dvorak; and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Joe) Lemberger and Irene (Gordon) Sheehy and her best friend, Lil Savage.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St. Two Rivers, is assisting the Dvorak family with funeral arrangements.

The Dvorak family would like to extend a special thank you to all the neighbors at the Reedsville Manor for their kindness and friendship; and also a special thanks to the entire staff of the Critical Care Unit at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for their wonderful care.
