Anne Conroy Blacow, 75, of Pacific Grove, a retired beautician, died Friday at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula after a brief illness. Born Aug. 19, 1912, in Shakopee, Minn., Mrs. Blacow moved to Pacific Grove from Sacramento 15 years ago. She was a self-employed beautician most of her adult life. She was a longtime volunteer in the Brown Bag program of the Alliance on Aging and a member of St. Angela’s Catholic Church in Pacific Grove. Surviving are three sisters, Eileen Foxley of Omaha, Neb., and Mary Conroy and Margaret Conroy, both of Prior Lakes, Minn.; and a niece, Mary Ann Pirotte of Pebble Beach. Mrs. Blacow’s husband, Thomas, died in May. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Angela’s Catholic Church. Private burial will be in El Carmelo Cemetery. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that any memorial contributions go to the Alliance on Aging, Salinas.
