OBITUARY
MRS. B. H. BLAMEY, SEN.
The death occurred suddenly last night at her home, Clarence road, Rockdale, of Mrs. B. H. Blarney, sen., at the age of 82 years. Mr. J. C. Blarney, of Wagga, received a telephone message at 8.45 o'clock last night that his mother was seriously ill as the result of a stroke. At 10.20 o'clock he telephoned to Rockdale for information as to her progress and was advised of her death. The deceased leaves ,a husband and three sons and three daughters. The sons are Messrs. R. H. Blamey jun., and J. C. Blamey, of Wagga, and Brigadier General Blamey, Commissioner of Police in Victoria, and the daughters Mesdames W. C. Marshall (Peakhurst), C. L. Daley (Wagga), and Hotchkiss (Rockdale). Mrs. Blamey was Australian born and for many years resided in Wagga, where she and her husband and family have always been held in the highest esteem. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Blamey left Wagga for Rockdale in February, 1904. Both at Wagga and Rockdale Mrs. Blarney was always keenly interested in church work, the Women's Christian Temperance Union and the Red Cross Society. The sympathy of all will be extended to the bereaved family, who, only on April 25 last, lost by death their daughter and sister, Miss Ada Blamey.
