GARNET CURRY

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Garnet Curry, 75, of Delbarton, died Monday, Aug. 21, 1989, in Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born May 8, 1914 at Elk Creek, he was a son of the late Harve and Lucinda (Farley) Curry. Also preceding him in death were seven brothers, Julius, Jeff, Lee, Elbert, Ira, Albert and Billy; and three sisters, Elitha Ferrell, Tennessee Farley and Ada Curry.
He was a retired miner and member of the United Mine Workers of America. He also was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union 317.
He was of the Church of God faith.
Survivors: wife, Minnie (Muncy) Curry, Delbarton; stepsons, Wallace Muncy, Delbarton and Troy Muncy, Catlettsburg, Ky.; stepdaughters, Bernice Kirk and Betty Walker, Delbarton; an adopted daughter, Mrs. John Ed (Joyce) Brown, Columbus, Ohio; brother, Rush Curry, Delbarton; sisters, Mrs. John (Effie) Tiller, Daytona Beach, Fla., Mrs. Jake (Sarah) Maynard, Delbarton, Mrs. Homer (Nancy) Hatfield, Pie, Mrs. Rudolph (Edith) Kirk, Delbarton; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Chafin Funeral Home chapel, Delbarton, Thursday, Aug. 24, 1989, 11 a.m. Revs. W. H. Compton and Mitchell Bias officiating. Burial in Curry-Farley Cemetery, Elk Creek. Grandsons will service as pallbearers.
