Beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

At Marge's request, there will be no local services. Her ashes will be taken to St. Nazianz, Wisconsin with her family at a later date.

A Catholic Mass will be said in her name on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 225 S. Spruce Street in Kenai.

Marge was born on Aug. 2, 1924 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. After high school, she went to nursing school in Miami, Florida and became a registered nurse. She married her high school sweetheart on May 14, 1949. Together, they worked, lived and raised their family from Wisconsin to New Mexico to Taiwan, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait until her husband's death in 1970. Marge settled her family of five children in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

She worked as an Assistant Administrator at Shady Lane Nursing Home until her retirement in 1991. Marge began her retirement years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1993, she came to Nikiski to "visit" her daughter Mary and her family and fell in love with Alaska and never left!

She was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan. She wore her Packers shirt and cheese-head during the games.Marge spent many years housesitting for her friends, volunteering at the Clothes Quarters at church and at the Kenai Senior Center answering phones and sending out cards to the 'birthday-club' senior members. She was a lifetime KOPS (Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly) at the Kenai 189 Chapter.

She was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. She loved her entire family and her many friends. She had a great sense of humor and always said lots of 'Hail Mary's' for her granddaughters Megan and Emily, when requested.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis X. Bushman.

She is survived by all four of her brothers, Bill (Mary), Skip (Ginny), Bob (Sandy) and Dan (Barb); her daughters, Michel Bushman-Disco (Gary) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mary Kennedy (John) of Nikiski; sons, Francis X. Bushman II (Lori) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mark S. Bushman (Chris) of Champaign, Illinois, and Matthew P. Bushman (Donna) of Arlington Heights, Illinois;10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, along with many friends.
