Her mother's maidenname was Carter. Married Donald Adrian Crail Sept. 9, 1933. After Donald married Birdeen they came to California in 1935. They lived in Richmond while Donald worked at the Ford plant. When the Ford plant moved to San Jose, Don and Birdeen moved to Vallejo. (around 1945). Don then went to work for Mare Island Naval Base. He was a Chipper. Don knew of a couple who each had six children. They got married and she found out that she was pregnant. They already had twelve children, they didn't need or want another. Don and Birdeen really wanted this baby. Don paid for the medical bills and his name was put on the birth certificate. When the baby was a few days old, he took her home. That was the extent of the adoption. Bonnie Ellen Crail now lives in Chicago, Illinois.
