Mrs. Marvin Hayes died about 6 o'clock Friday evening at her home in the Town of Oppenheim, due to complications her maiden name was Lena Crouse and she was a member of the Methodist church of St. Johnsville. She was born in the Town of Oppenheim about 83 years ago and had resided there all of her life.
On October 3, 1883, she was married to Mr. Hayes who survives with four sons, Edward, Elton and Percy all of Oppenheim and Ernest of Manheim; four daughters, Mrs. Rosina Cline of Ilion; Mrs. John Swartz of Inghams Mills and Miss Fannie and Miss Nellie Hayes at home; one brother, Wesley Crouse of St. Johnsville.
