Mary was born in Poultney, VT, on January 13, 1931, to Evan and Katherine Humphrey.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert; brothers Jack and Owen; and daughter, Bonnie McClallen.
Mary leaves behind her three daughters Deborah Martin, Rebecca Piteau and Laureen McPhee. Her sister, Joan Bixby, and her husband, Robert. She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren; and her 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary's life can be defined by how much she was loved and respected by her family and friends. She loved going to bingo and to Saratoga to the Casino. She was a member of the St. David's Society in Poultney.
She worked at the RRMC for 37 years, 25 of which was in Pediatrics. She had such a loving way with the children. She also played the part of Pedi Bear, showing young children around the hospital.
The family would like to thank RAVNA and Hospice for the great care .
Burial will be at a later date at St. Patrick's Cemetery .
There will be a celebration of her life on May 23, at the Clarendon Grange Community Center from 2-4 p.m.
Contributions can be made in her memory to the Foley Cancer Center at RRMC and the Open Door Mission, 31 Park St.
