Mr. Petersen passed away at the Douglas County Hospital on February 6, 1978 at the age of 72 years. Surviving are his wife, Edna; one son, John H. Petersen of St. Paul, Minnesota; one daughter, Bondell (Mrs. John James) of Barrington, Illinois; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Adams of Fort Pierce, Florida; Mrs. Hertah DePledge of Fort Pierce, Florida; two brothers: Hugo C. Petersen of Alexandria ; Broder Petersen of Schleswig, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Funeral services were held February 9, 1978 at Zion Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Minn. Rev. Stephen Breuning officiating. Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, Minn. Pallbearers were Paul Trushenski, Joe C. Johnson, Glen Seal, Herb Trushenski, Melvin Brandenburg, Harry Krey, and Kenneth Beckman. Arrangements with Anderson Funeral Home.
