Mrs. Dorney was a life-long resident of Marblehead and a member of the St. Stephen's Methodist Church where she had volunteered for many years.
She is survived by a son, Peter C. Dorney; one daughter, Linda Dorney; two sisters, Eleanor Nelson of Ghent, N.Y., and Shirley Hamson of Lynnfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Francis C. Dorney and the daughter of the late Harold and Elsie (Blaney) Bartlett.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Eustis & Cornell Funeral Home in Marblehead.
