She was born, Sophia, the second child born to Peter Grismer and Veronica Karsnia Grismer.

Sr. Petrina was invested on August 12, 1907 and served the congregation as a nurse and a teacher. Sister died on April 8, 1951 following a heart attack at Campbellsport, WI and was laid to rest in the Sister's Cemetery there.
