Rosemary Hall Scott was born May 6, 1927 to Maude Ball Hall and Hugh Olin Hall, Sr., and passed away in Rockwall, TX, on May 12, 2015. She was married to the love of her life, Victor H. Scott on July 24, 1949 in Rockwall. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1975. Victor was a World War II veteran serving with the 1st Marine Division in the South Pacific and China. Rosemary was an honor graduate of Rockwall High School, University of North Texas and Texas A&M Commerce, where she earned a Master of Science in Home Economics. She was a retired professor of Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. In 1988 she was awarded “Outstanding Home Economist of Texas.”

Rosemary also taught at De Leon High School and Anadarko (Okla.) High School. Other memberships included American and Texas Home Economics Assoc., American Assoc. of University Women and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church where she served in many leadership positions.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor, brother, Hugh O. Hall Jr., sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Hall, brothers-in-law, Kenneth Scott and E.J. McDougal, nephews, Hugh Olin Hall III, Rodney McDougal and Tim Scott, and niece, Rebecca Hall Jeanes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, May 17, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Rockwall with Dr. Joe Pool officiating. Interment will take place at 1:00pm on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Garden of Memory Cemetery, 325 CR 409 at Hwy 16 in Comanche, TX.
