Lillian Carney, 101, of Brackenridge, died 8:45 a.m. Tuesday (April 22, 2003) at The Willows of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Oakmont, where she had been a patient two weeks.
Born April 19, 1902, in Saxonburg, she lived in Brackenridge most of her life. Mrs. Carney was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, and the American Legion Auxiliary and Pioneer Hose Auxiliary, both in Brackenridge. She enjoyed making afghans, crochet and baking. Survivors include a son, James Davidson of Springdale; a daughter, Dorothy Brewer of Arnold; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Davidson; her second husband, John Brewer; her third husband, Eddis Carney; a great-great-granddaughter, Amanda Mento; her parents, David and Louisa Seitz Sefton; five brothers, Harry, Edward, Clarence, Lawrence and James Sefton; and two sisters, Carrie Krumpe and Hazel Sefton. At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. Private services will be officiated by her pastor, the Rev. Stewart A. Pollock. Burial will be in Mount Airy, Cemetery, Natrona Heights. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 305 Allegheny St., Tarentum, PA 15084. Arrangements are under the care of KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights.
