Catherine M. "Kitty" Hartman, 86, of Phillipsburg, NJ., passed away on May 14, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, Pa. Born October 12, 1928 in Springtown, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Russell C. and Catherine M. Arthur Hamlin.
Mrs. Hartman was a registered nurse for many years, working at Warren and Easton Hospitals. She was a lifelong member of Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church, Stewartsville, where she served as a deacon. She was the past president and the fundraising chairperson of the Warren Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Sunny Seniors. She was graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1946 and was graduated from the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia in 1949. Kitty loved knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald G. Hartman, her loving children, Donald K. Hartman and his wife Deborah, of Nazareth, PA, and Debora Gager and her husband Warren, of Hamilton, NJ. Her beloved grandchildren, Danielle Stocker, Janelle Hartman, Kathleen Sutch, Patrick Sutch, Lauren Gager, Erin Gager, and two great geanddaughters. She is also survived by her siblings, Paul Hamlin of Easton, and Elsie Pritchard of Phillipsburg. Kitty was predeceased by her son, Dale Kevin Hartman who passed away in 1986. In addition, she was predeceased by brothers, Russell, Edward, and Williard Hamlin,and sister Helen Wolf.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 17 Greenwich Church Rd. Stewartsville, NJ., at 11AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 6 to 8PM at The Finegan Funeral Home 302 Heckman St. Phillipsburg, and on Tuesday, from 10 to 11AM at the church. The interment will be at the Greenwich Cemetery.
