Ms. Thompson was born Oct. 3, 1920, in Onego and was a daughter of the late Amby Thompson and Delphia Payne Thompson.
She was a homemaker and attended Brushy Run School.
She is survived by a sister, Peachie Thompson of Riverton, with whom she lived for 40 years; two brothers, Jerlo Thompson of Seneca Rocks, and Achie Thompson of Alpena; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Trumie Thompson, Dewey Thompson and Hughie Thompson; and two sisters, Lillie Elza and Ressie Biller.
The Rev. Earl Bible conducted the funeral Dec. 27, 2006, at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin.
Burial was at North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.
